Scholarly Teaching Symposium

Scholarly Teaching Symposium ChalkboardThe Center for Teaching and Learning and Instructional Technology Services are pleased to announce a half-day symposium to explore scholarly teaching, which integrates teaching and research by applying a scholarly lens to teaching activities.

While scholarly teaching may include publishing peer-reviewed studies based on one’s teaching experience, at a more basic level it simply means using evidence and reflecting intentionally on what is happening in our classrooms so we can improve our teaching and enhance students’ learning. Symposium participants will have the opportunity to learn more about scholarly teaching, to hear from colleagues who have benefited from this approach, and to consider how you might adopt scholarly teaching practices in order to grow as a teacher-scholar and help your students succeed.

Complimentary lunch provided. Registration required. We hope you can join us!
