Many instructors ask students to do in-class presentations but may have little training themselves in oral communication skills. In this workshop, faculty from the School of Communication will review a white paper they have written to provide guidance to both faculty and students in giving and assessing oral presentations. They will then lead participants in a hands-on session to apply best practices in their own classes. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of any oral assignments and assessments that they currently use. Complimentary lunch provided.
Please note that this is a two-hour workshop. Doors will open at 11:30am if you would like to get lunch before we get started and the workshop will run from noon to 2pm.
