noon – 1pm
Faculty-Staff Club

Across the nation, colleges and universities have struggled to facilitate successful outcomes for men of color, particularly Black and Latino males. Based on results from a recent study of educators with a proven record of success in teaching college men of color, presenters J.Luke Wood and Frank Harris III (Community College Leadership) will highlight promising strategies and practices that support the learning experience of these students. Specifically, the presenters will explicate relationship-building, teaching and learning, and classroom structuring practices that have been shown to facilitate the learning, development, and success of these men. All educators, including instructional faculty, advisors, counselors, and tutors are encouraged to attend. Registration required.
