Bilingualism as a resource

Workshop FlyerLunch & Learn
Mon Mar 13
noon – 1pm

Are all bilinguals the same? What do we as instructors need to know about our bilingual students? How can we support bilingual students in monolingual classrooms? Join us for an exploration of these questions and more. Professor Alfredo Urzúa (Department of Spanish and Portuguese) will discuss the social and individual aspects of bilingualism as well as issues related to bilingualism in the classroom, including strategies that teachers can adopt to capitalize on the skills that bilingual and multilingual students bring to the classroom.

This event is part of the CTL series on Teaching the Whole Student.

* Graduate students are welcome to attend all CTL events, space permitting. If an event fills up, GTAs will be moved to the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
