Registration has opened on EdX for the online course, “Advancing Learning Through Evidence-Based STEM Teaching,” in which participants will “learn effective teaching strategies and research that supports them, and how to collect, analyze, and act upon evidence of student learning.” Although the focus is nominally on STEM, the content really applies to all fields. The course begins June 1 and runs for eight weeks. For more details and weekly topics, see the organizers’ website (this is Course 2).

If enough faculty are interested in participating, the CTL will facilitate a learning community, to help us all keep on track as well as provide a forum to discuss ideas from the course with your SDSU colleagues. Please indicate your interest by answering a few questions (NOTE: this does not commit you to anything at this time but will help with planning).
