The SDSU Strategic Plan and the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025 set high goals for increasing graduation rates and reducing gaps in graduation rates between different student groups. To realize these goals, it is important for every member of the University community to be committed to these goals and engaged in achieving them. In this Roundtable discussion, we will explore the role that faculty can play in supporting student success goals in the classroom and beyond. How do faculty define student success? What can campus leadership to do support and encourage greater faculty participation in student success initiatives? Participants are encouraged to read the CTL white paper, Strengthening and Supporting the Faculty Role in Student Success and Graduation Initiative 2025, prior to attending.
Roundtable events are an opportunity for exploratory discussion around a specified topic. Rather than having speaker presentations, participants will discuss what is currently being done, and what needs to be done, to improve teaching and learning on campus.
Registration required. This event is part of the CTL series Creating a Climate for Learning.
* Graduate students are welcome to attend all CTL events, space permitting. If an event fills up, GTAs will be moved to the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
