sexual harassment in academia
Lunch & Learn
Mon Apr 23
noon - 1:00pm
The effects of sexual harassment, sexual violence, and gender discrimination in institutes of higher education can be devastating and long lasting. In this Lunch and Learn, we explore the the human and institutional contexts that contribute to these environments and the impacts on undergraduate students, graduate students, post-docs and other vulnerable groups. Attendees will discuss strategies for becoming leaders in the efforts to address and fight sexual harassment and gender discrimination at SDSU.
As a result of participating, faculty will be able to…
- Identify different institutional and behavioral contributors to sexual harassment
- Identify contexts in their own work environment(s) that can be protected
- Formulate a plan for themselves to transform themselves into active leaders against sexual harassment at SDSU
This event is part of the CTL series Creating a Climate for Learning. Registration required.
* Graduate students are welcome to attend all CTL events, space permitting. If an event fills up, GTAs will be moved to the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
