Lunch & Learn: Flipping the Humanities classroom: Going beyond ‘read and discuss’

March 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Lunch & Learn
Wed Mar 1
noon – 1pm

For those in the Humanities, “flipped classrooms” may not seem particularly innovative since most in those disciplines have long expected students to do reading and other preparatory work before class so class time can be spent on discussion. But in this Lunch & Learn, Professors Sarah Elkind (History), Mathew Kuefler (History) and Peter Herman (English) will share their experiences making their courses even more interactive than a typical Humanities class by using such innovations as sophisticated role-playing games, in-class research projects and online blog discussions.

This event is part of the series on Flipping the Classroom. Registration required.
