Hint: The answer is not “my scores on student evaluations”

One of the hallmarks of a scholarly teacher is the use of evidence and reflection to improve one’s practice. In this interactive discussion, we will explore what type of evidence we need in order to assess whether our teaching choices are impacting student learning. We will also review some tools and resources that instructors can use to self-assess their practice and prompt productive reflection.

Attendees will be able to…

  • Identify the characteristics of effective teaching
  • Identify tools for evaluating their teaching
  • Engage in the process of scholarly teaching

Registration is required. This event is part of a series New Faculty Seminars.

* Graduate students are welcome to attend all CTL events, space permitting. If an event fills up, GTAs will be moved to the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
