We are all aware of the rising costs of textbooks and other course materials. Many faculty are looking for alternatives that can save money for their students but do not want to sacrifice quality, or make major changes to a course that is already working. This CTL Roundtable will provide an opportunity for interested faculty to discuss more affordable learning solutions. What options are currently available and being used across campus? What is the status of open educational resources (OER) and other online solutions? What can the University do to support those who are looking for affordable alternatives? Representatives from the Library, ITS and the Bookstore will be on hand to provide more information about existing options but this is also an opportunity for faculty to provide input on what you’d like to see. Registration is required.

CTL Roundtable events are an opportunity for exploratory discussion around a specified topic. Rather than having speaker presentations, participants will discuss what is currently being done, and what needs to be done, to improve teaching and learning on campus.
